Kinder-Tanz-Geschichten

Expression through Movement

Kinder-Tanz-Geschichten – Katja Körber and Peter Schindler

The KINDER-TANZ-GESCHICHTEN (Children’s Dance Stories) were developed by the dance educator, choreographer and author Katja Körber to get children moving quite naturally through imaginative stories and creative means. Each story consists of several scenes that invite children to dance, play and act.

The project offers practical material for dance and theatre work with children. Its open, easy-to-use concept fosters music, language, motor skills and body awareness, and also enables early experiences of integration and inclusion.

The KINDER-TANZ-GESCHICHTEN can be used flexibly – from a brief movement activity to a complete performance. They leave room for one’s own ideas and encourage spontaneity, individual forms of expression and consciously lived participation.

Peter Schindler’s specially composed music accompanies and supports the action. It is playful and humorous, evokes emotional responses and, through its colourful instrumentation, brings whole scenes and characters to life.
