Come neve al Sole – Alicia Amatriain & Friedemann Vogel

In 1999 Peter Schindler composed “No more tears” for the group “Saltacello”. It is based on Frédéric Chopin’s Prélude No. 4, Op. 28, which Schindler extends and develops with an energetic tango middle section. In 2001 this virtuoso arrangement inspired Rolando d’Alesio, esteemed as one of the world’s finest ballet masters, to choreograph a pas de deux.

His choreography “Come neve al Sole” became a highlight, with the dancers in pink T-shirts translating the turbulence of a relationship into movement with humour and charm.

The piece delighted audiences worldwide at galas and on tour, with dancers including Alicia Amatriain, Maria Eichwald, Miriam Kacerova, Polina Semionova and Xenia Wiest. The male role was danced in turn by Friedemann Vogel, Roman Novitzky, Robert Tewsley and Antonio Di Carmine.
